Sustainability Policy

Last Updated: 17th May 2025

At Bharat Tanks and Vessels LLP (“BTV”), sustainability is more than a principle, it is a responsibility embedded in our engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and project delivery processes. This Sustainability Policy outlines our commitment to environmentally responsible practices that protect the planet, empower communities, and enable a cleaner energy future.

1. Our Sustainability Vision

We aim to create infrastructure that drives industrial progress without compromising the well-being of future generations. Our sustainability efforts span the full lifecycle of our energy projects, from design to construction, operation, and decommissioning.

2. Environmental Stewardship

  • Comply with all applicable environmental regulations and the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.
  • Design and deliver infrastructure that minimizes environmental impact through energy-efficient technologies, emissions control, and sustainable materials.
  • Prevent pollution through safe storage systems, waste reduction, and responsible material handling.
  • Implement water and energy conservation practices across all offices, factories, and project sites.

3. Responsible Sourcing

  • Source raw materials and components from environmentally and ethically responsible suppliers.
  • Prioritize vendors and partners who adhere to sustainable manufacturing, fair labor practices, and ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Encourage the use of recyclable, reusable, or lower-carbon alternatives wherever possible.

4. Innovation in Green Energy

  • Actively invest in and deliver solutions for green hydrogen, ammonia, LCO2, and Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS).
  • Develop infrastructure that supports net-zero transition goals of our clients and the global energy sector.
  • Build safe and scalable ecosystems for renewable energy distribution and storage across geographies.

5. Community and Ecosystem Impact

  • Support sustainable infrastructure projects in underserved regions to bridge energy access gaps.
  • Engage with local communities through environmental education, job creation, and health initiatives.
  • Ensure our project sites respect local biodiversity, heritage, and land-use norms.

6. Circular Practices

  • Incorporate circular economy principles by maximizing resource efficiency and reducing waste at every stage.
  • Promote the reuse, recycling, or safe disposal of materials after project completion or asset lifecycle ends.

7. Sustainable Logistics & Construction

  • Optimize transportation and site logistics to reduce fuel use and emissions.
  • Minimize noise, dust, and disruption at project sites through environmental management plans (EMPs).
  • Train all teams in sustainable site practices, emergency response, and environmental compliance.

8. Monitoring & Accountability

  • Track environmental KPIs across operations and report progress annually.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and third-party assessments to ensure compliance and improvement.
  • Review and revise sustainability goals based on new technologies, regulations, and global climate developments.

9. Communication and Awareness

  • Communicate sustainability goals and performance transparently to all stakeholders.
  • Train employees, contractors, and vendors on sustainability expectations and green practices.
